1. Dry store food like flour, nuts, dried fruit, spices, granola, cereal and bread in an airtight container.
  2. Treat your herbs like they were a flower by removing plastic wrapping, standing them in an inch of water, and storing them in your fridge.
  3. Store your root vegetables out of the fridge in a dark, cool cupboard or canvas bag.
  4. Remove all the packaging from vegetables so they do not sweat.
  5. Store lettuce leaves in a container with kitchen paper to suck up moisture.
  6. Keep bananas away from other fruit as they will ripen the other fruit.
  7. Keep apples, berries and pears in the fridge as they will last much longer.
