Cornish Pasty Week 2025 will see pasty makers around the county raising money for local schools and inspiring the next generation of cooks and bakers whilst also bringing back some much loved aspects of Cornish Pasty Week of old. 

In 2024, Cornish Pasty Week saw pasty makers raising a whopping £20,000 for cookery initiatives within Cornish schools. 

THE CORNISH PASTY COMMUNITY FUND

In 2024 £20,000 was raised, every penny of which is going to schools throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to enable them to introduce activities they would otherwise not be able to afford, all aimed at helping kids learn about food.

So far over 30 schools have received a share of the fund to buy equipment and ingredients for a wide range of activities – from growing vegetables to after school cookery clubs.

Professional bakers and crimpers from Cornish Pasty Association member bakeries have also led pastymaking sessions for over 600 children in local schools. In these fun, inclusive lessons, where every child gets to make, bake and, most importantly, eat their own pasty, they learn about the ingredients that go into a genuine Cornish pasty, how to prepare them and of course how to crimp.

Anyone making or selling genuine Cornish pasties can donate either a specific amount of money from every pasty sold during the week, or a fixed lump sum of their choice to the Community Fund. Anyone else who would like to contribute is of course also welcome to. Part of the sponsorship raised for Cornish Pasty Week 2025 will be used to enable our valuable work with schools to continue.

Schools will be able to apply for a share of the Community Fund simply by filling in an online form, saying how much money they need and what it will be used for. The Association will select the winning bids against a set of criteria. Schools can register their interest HERE.
