September 11, 2019 barmac5 BAKING TIP FROM THE VILLAGE KITCHEN… To test whether old baking powder is still got some oomph in it, mix 2 tsp of it with 200ml (fl oz) of hot water. The mixture should bubble and fizz immediately if the powder is still active. If there’s little reaction or it’s delayed, discard it.
